Wedding trends are forever changing. Some trends are from years ago that come back into style and some are brand new that we never see coming. We hope to see some of our favorite 2017 trends continue throughout this year, but we’re also so excited to see what’s in store for the wedding world in 2018.
Copper
While the idea of metallic accents as a part of wedding design is here to stay, brides have begun to incorporate copper as their go-to metal. Warm, soft, and reflective, copper joins brass and rose gold as the cool, sophisticated wedding design element of 2018. It’s versatility has allowed copper to be incorporated into many wedding themes; copper’s ability to bring feels of mid-century cool to understated luxury has allowed this trend to show no signs of slowing down. From copper-colored, foil-pressed designs on invitation suites, serving His & Hers Moscow Mules during cocktail hour in trendy copper mugs, to the emergence of geometric, copper-piped ceremony arches, copper as a metallic accent can bring a trendy, alternative vibe to your wedding that your guests will love. Don’t forget to experiment with textures for this metal as well— polished, brushed, beaten and wire accents are all currently trés chic in the wedding industry worldwide.

Geometric Details
Whether it be a funky, geometric ceremony arch, Art Deco styled lanterns and candle holders or octagonal tiles as escort cards, these modern shapes can add a bold and contemporary theme to your wedding décor. Incorporating these accents into your wedding design lends a bit of edginess to any theme. Mixing with a vibrant color palette gives your look a fun and playful feel. Mixing geo accents with a bronze or silver metallic adds an air of simplistic classiness. One of our favorite looks: balancing industrial, geometric décor with natural, organic greenery is an eye-catching wedding aesthetic that is sure to delight!

Greenery
Less buds, more leaves, is what we’ve noticed our mountain brides have been requesting more and more recently. Natural and woodsy, this look is perfect to complete the laid-back vibes for an outdoor wedding. Some of our favorite kinds of greenery include; ferns, eucalyptus, rosemary and lamb’s ear. Greenery is also a great way to save money and still enjoy fresh florals on your wedding day, as it tends to be less expensive than flower-filled designs.

Cookie Bar
The dessert spread has become the number one way to get creative and move away from antiquated wedding traditions! While we love a good cake, cookie bars can be a clever and budget conscious way to share dessert with your closest family and friends. It’s also a perfect late-night snack for the night owls that need more fuel to party on into the night! There are countless ways to display and decorate a cookie bar to fit your big day perfectly. Want to push the dessert envelope? “Build Your Own” ice cream & cookie sandwich bars are a fun and interactive way to keep guests entertained.

Tent Lounge Areas
Lounge areas are a great way to create movement throughout your reception and give your guests a cool, comfy area to relax and get to know one another. Dress them up with vintage couches and tables or make a bold statement with colorful pillows, blankets and throws for a Moroccan or Bohemian vibe. Anyway that you use these tents, they are bound to leave a lasting impression on your guests!
